Every summer, here at VietAID we run a summer academic enrichment program for first to eighth graders. We are now hiring high school youth/teens to work as either Teaching Assistants and Assistant Counselors through the Boston Youth Fund. VSPY is a summer academic enrichment program where first to eighth grade students hone their academic skills and engage with enrichment activities. Our Teen Staff play an important role in our summer camp: Teaching Assistants work in the morning providing support during our academic blocks while Assistant Counselors work in the afternoon assisting groups during field trips, clubs and other enrichment activities. This position will be a great opportunity for you to build and practice your leadership skills, connect with your peers and make an important impact in the community.
In order to work, you
• Must be a full-time resident of the City of Boston
• Must be 15 years old on/before Monday, July 7, 2014
• Cannot turn 19 years old on/before Friday, August 15, 2014
• Must be registered on the City of Boston HOPELINE
• Interested in working with youth and in the field of education
