1460 represents Viet-AID’s largest mixed-use development undertaken. Viet-AID acquired two underutilized buildings totaling more than 16,000 square feet. 1460 is strategically located in the heart of Fields Corner on Dorchester Avenue across from the Fields Corner T Station. Currently under construction, the $12 million mixed-use transit-oriented development will create 43 affordable studios and one-bedroom units occupying three floors above five commercial spaces. The project will incorporate green features and designs mitigating the environmental impact while serving as a model for development in Fields Corner.
Viet-AID, partnering with Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, has completed construction of 20 homeownership units built on scattered parcels in the Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhoods. This partnership has revitalized decrepit abandoned parcels into vibrant single- and two-family homes.
