Viet-AID Youth Programs

After-School Program

2010 is the inaugural year for Viet-AID's After-School Program. It is designed to serve the needs of elementary and middle school aged students in Boston's Vietnamese community who are in need of safe, enriching activities after school.

The After-School Program runs during the academic year of the Boston Public Schools, from 1:45pm to 5:45pm each day. Each day includes a portion of time dedicated to homework help and support, additional time dedicated to academic enrichment and extension, and fun and cultural activities.

Viet-AID's Summer Youth Program

2010 is the inaugural year for Viet-AID's Summer Youth Program. It is designed to serve the needs of elementary and middle school aged students in Boston's Vietnamese community who are in need of safe, enriching activities over the summer vacation.

The Summer Youth Program runs for six weeks, from 8am to 5pm each day. The morning is spent on classroom-based instruction, with a focus on math and literacy. Afternoons are spent on off-site fieldtrips that complement academic instruction, as well as on enrichment and cultural activities such as dance, martial arts, and service projects.
