During the interview, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh addressed today’s vote on the name change for Yawkey Way, and the importance of continuing the important dialogue on racism in the city – beyond a street name change. He also addressed the positive stories all around Dorchester, and that, he feels, the neighborhood is “shedding that label that we had for a long time.”

Today’s guests also included Bill Forry, managing editor of the Dorchester Reporter; Donna Gittens, Founder of More Advertising and former Vice President at WCVB-TV; Bobin Nicholson, business owner in Lower Mills and musician; and Huong Pham, Director of Community Relations at VietAID, all of whom addressed the diverse, tight-knit community in Dorchester, and their hopes for the future of Dorchester.
