Re-envision Fields Corner – You are cordially invited – 6:00pm Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the Vietnamese American Community Center

November 27, 2012

Dear Fields Corner Community Members & Friends of Viet-AID:

First, we wish to take advantage of this Holidays Season to thank you for your contribution and support through the years. If it were not for yours and that of many other wonderful community members, Fields Corner would have not been the vibrant neighborhood it is today. We are forever grateful.
Second, we would like to invite you to an important dialogue on our community, and our common interests, concerns, desires and aspirations for Fields Corner.

Earlier this year, Viet-AID engaged MIT Professor James Buckley and his graduate students to do an assessment of opportunities and challenges of Fields Corner. They have completed their analysis and many of you attended the presentations of their findings. We are attaching the study here for your reference. We think we can use this study as a basis for further discussions. We hope that with your inputs and our collaboration we will find ways to develop, if needed, a new vision for Fields Corner, and jointly we will contribute to its bright future.

Please join us on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 6.00pm, at the Vietnamese American Community Center, on what I am hoping to be the beginning of a collaborative effort to re-envision and enhance Fields Corner. A light super will be served. Please let me know if you plan to attend so we can make arrangements for food. Also, although this is not a public meeting forum, if you believe that I have not included a community stakeholder, please let me know, or please feel free to invite such member to participate. We will be sending an agenda prior to the meeting but please do not hesitate to email me in advance any points you would like to include.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Center on December 11th.
Yours sincerely,

Nam Pham
Executive Director
